Time Patterns
Memories are layers of pattern laid down like rock strata or rings of a tree. Each layer contains information that becomes compressed and blurred as other information is laid on top. Sometimes a cataclysmic upheaval lifts the rock strata and reforms it into different shapes, bringing different bits to the surface. This series evokes memories of time and circumstance.
All these artworks are handprinted in small editions (usually around 10) and prices are for unframed work. Each work contains elements of etching and aquatint on hahnemuhle paper and some are printed directly onto the paper while others are cut and handsewn onto thick Kent cartridge paper backing using cotton thread.
