Kaleidoscapes
In this series I have used pieces of my etchings to create new unique artworks using sacred geometry (a type of geometry used in religious art and architecture ). These collages celebrate traditional “women’s work” in the form of patchwork quilts – the centuries old tradition of women getting together to create useful goods out of recycled leftovers and scraps.
My kaleidoscapes represent landscapes made up of pieces of my environment, each piece sewn to the next in a long stitch journey, my journey throughout each day and season of the year.
All these artworks are unique and prices are for unframed work unless specified. Each work contains elements of etching and aquatint on hahnemuhle paper, and hand embossing on paper. Each work is sewn by hand using cotton and wool and sewn onto thick kent cartridge backing.
