This series is about linking my world at home with my world abroad. Works in this series celebrate pattern in nature. I have used images of the things that surround me in the natural world and looked further afield to places I have travelled to, to find images of nature that others have created to depict their cultural idea of the world around them. By using pattern, we can recreate or invoke a memory of another time or place. By combining images of the things around me with the patterns created by others I have tried to create a narrative about my world that encourages others to look more mindfully at the wonders and mystery of nature and what surrounds us every day.
All etchings are printed on 300gsm Hahnemuhle etching paper and are sold unframed.
